To: The Victorian Government

We, the undersigned, call on the Victorian Government to take immediate action to address the risks posed by jetskis on the Mornington Peninsula’s beaches and bays.

Jetskis traveling at high speeds and flouting safety rules are endangering local families and tourists, leading to serious injuries on our beaches and undermining the Peninsula’s reputation as a peaceful and family-friendly destination.

What We’re Asking For:

  • Designated No-Jetski Zones: Ban jetski use near popular swimming beaches
  • Ban jetskis from launching and mooring on our shorelines, restricting these activities to designated boat ramps and jetties.
  • Lower Speed Limits: Impose stricter speed limits in all shared coastal areas.
  • Stronger Enforcement: Increase patrols and penalties to crack down on reckless jetski use.
  • Protect Local Tourism: Preserve our reputation as a safe, family-friendly getaway destination.

Together, we can create a safer and more enjoyable environment for residents, tourists, and local businesses.

Sign this petition to help protect our community and ensure that the Mornington Peninsula remains a safe and welcoming destination for all.
