The Mornington Peninsula has one of the highest proportions of seniors in Australia, yet our aged care services are failing to keep pace.

I've sat with elderly residents forced to leave their lifelong homes because home care packages are insufficient.

And met families devastated by the neglect their loved ones experienced in residential facilities.

Dignity and care for our seniors

Our seniors built this community – they deserve dignity and quality care in return. I'll push for: 

• A complete overhaul of home care funding to allow more people to age in the comfort of their own homes
• Stronger regulation with real penalties for substandard facilities
• Pathways to better pay and conditions that will attract and retain compassionate care workers. 

I've spent a lot of time helping people navigate the My Aged Care system at the community centre, and I know what a nightmare it is. I’ll work tirelessly to make it easier for people to use.
