The mental health crisis affects every corner of our community.
At the Community Support Centre, I've comforted parents desperate to find help for their teenagers, workers suffering in silence due to stigma, and seniors isolated by grief and loneliness.
Every one of these stories represents a system that's failing when people need it most.
Breaking down barriers to mental wellbeing
Our Peninsula deserves accessible, compassionate mental health services. Services that meet people where they are.
With this in mind, I will be advocating for:
- Increased funding for local providers
- Removal of bureaucracy that delays care
- Programs that reach people before they hit crisis point.
I’ve worked with community organisations to establish peer support initiatives, and I know that early intervention saves lives.
The mental health of our community isn't a partisan issue – it's a human one that demands immediate action and sustained commitment.
