Preserving Paradise: Safeguarding Our Natural Environment

The Mornington Peninsula's natural environment is fundamental to our identity and economy. Yet today, our green wedge faces development pressure, our beaches suffer from pollution, and inappropriate projects threaten our unique character.

Walking our coastlines with my daughter, I've picked up plastic waste that endangers marine life. I've stood with residents fighting developments that would forever change our townships and listened to conservation groups who see firsthand how environmental degradation affects our region.

I'll champion achievable solutions:

  • Strengthening planning laws to protect our green wedge
  • Securing federal funding for coastal rehabilitation, proper funding for Landcare groups, supporting volunteer conservation groups, and advocating for stronger enforcement against polluters.

Unlike politicians who make empty promises, I'll work across all levels of government to ensure our natural assets are protected for generations to come. The Peninsula's environment is our shared inheritance – and as your Independent voice, I'll ensure it receives the protection it deserves.
